Technician Drop - Glo Fiber

Job Summary

Responsible for demonstrating and developing the skills and knowledge required for installing broadband service drops. This includes working with both aerial and buried drops to connect broadband service to customer homes and businesses. The Drop Technician will operate a vibratory plow/trencher, read, create, and maintain schematics/diagrams, and bore under sidewalks and driveways when appropriate. The position requires a self‑starter who can work efficiently and independently to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality work.

The technician must successfully complete drop installation and broadband service activations for customer homes and businesses.

High School Diploma / GED

• 0–2 years of field operations or construction related experience.

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to carry and climb a 28‑foot ladder from truck to pole and/or house.
• Ability to work in an array of weather conditions.
• Walking, sitting, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
• Driving.
