Synergy Home Health Services, LLC is an Agency Provider for Ohio Dept. of Developmental Disabilities. Working as Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they explore their greater community, identify strengths, promote independence and self‑advocacy, and build long‑lasting social networks.
Available Shifts in Circleville: 2nd Shift and WeekendsDSPs create lasting positive impacts on people’s lives and enjoy learning, mentoring, and encouraging others to celebrate their achieved outcomes. Must be able to work independently, be reliable, and have a positive attitude.
Responsibilities- Discover engaging community events and plan activities.
- Participate with individuals in the community.
- Support and uphold the rights, dignity, and respect of all persons served, and promote independence and self‑advocacy skills.
- Complete required documentation and attend required trainings and meetings.
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- One‑year experience in a related field is preferred, but not required
- Ability to communicate, both verbal and written
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently
- Have a valid State Driver’s License or valid State
- If applicable, valid auto insurance and the ability to safely transport individuals
- Pass a BCII/FBI background check, and seven additional checks
- Possess or complete and maintain American Red Cross and CPR certifications
