Built Differently. Owned Together.
FORJAK Industrial isn't your typical construction and coatings company, and we're not looking for a typical CDL Class A Driver & Material Handler.
Founded in 2001 in Circleville, Ohio, FORJAK was built on a simple belief: the people doing the work should share in the success. That's why in 2022, we became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. When FORJAK wins, you win — literally.
We live by four values we call FIRE:
Family
· Integrity
· Resilience
· ExcellenceFIRE represents the spirit that fuels FORJAK — who we are, how we work, and what we stand for every day.
The Role
The CDL Class A Driver & Material Handler is part of our Blast Plant team. You'll be responsible for safely delivering and picking up blast plant materials, including oversized and escorted loads and transitioning into a hands-on material handling role on-site at FORJAK Industrial when deliveries aren't scheduled. This is a hybrid role that keeps you moving, and you'll do it with the integrity and ownership mindset that defines everyone at FORJAK.
This isn't a clock-in, clock-out job. This is a career with a company that has your back, and proof of that is written into our ownership structure.
What You'll Own
On a given day, as a CDL Class A Driver & Material Handler, you will:
Driving & Freight Operations
- Operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer to make deliveries and pickups.
- Load and secure freight onto FORJAK Industrial's truck and trailer at the pickup site using proper load securement techniques for various freight types and sizes; no unloading is required at customer locations.
- Transport oversized loads up to 53' in length, including palletized weldments and non-escorted oversized freight, in full compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate and execute escorted oversized load movements, working with escort vehicles, law enforcement, and permitting requirements to ensure safe and compliant transport of wide, tall, or heavy loads.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, daily safety checklists, and all required DOT documentation accurately and on time.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and FORJAK safety policies without exception on every trip.
On-Site Material Handling
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and telehandlers to safely handle and move materials ranging from 1 lb to 200,000 lbs when on-site at FORJAK Industrial between scheduled deliveries.
- Support the plant team with staging, movement, and organization of materials and equipment as needed to keep operations running efficiently.
- Complete daily safety checklists for all on-site equipment operated, ensuring everything is inspected and in proper working condition before use.
General
- Adhere to all company safety and work policies.
- Remain flexible, taking on miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership to support evolving organizational needs.
Do You Have What It Takes?
We're not just filling a seat. We're adding someone to a team of owners.
You must bring:
- Current and valid Class A CDL with active auto insurance.
- Minimum 12 months of verifiable interstate tractor-trailer experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical requirements.
- No chargeable DOT reportable accidents within the past 3 years.
- Strong understanding of load securement for a variety of freight types and sizes, including oversized loads.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid role, transitioning between driving and material handling as operational needs require.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organized under pressure.
A team-first attitude—ego doesn't build great things; people do.
Even better if you have:
- Experience transporting oversized or heavy-haul loads, including coordination with escorts and permitting agencies.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or telehandlers in an industrial or plant environment.
- Familiarity…
