Director of Nursing

We are currently accepting applications for a Director of Nursing within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. This position requires dedication to a job well done, dependability, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude is a must. Must enjoy working with our residents and families.

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience in a supervisory capacity
• Long-Term Care / Nursing Home Experience highly preferred
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care
• Positive attitude toward the elderly

• Lead the Nursing Team
• Manage all Aspects of the Nursing Department
• Works With the Administrator and Department Heads
• Nursing Care Functions
• Understand Residents' Rights
• Ability to communicate with residents and personnel and ability to remain calm under stress.
• Understand Care Plan and Assessment
• Planning and Implementing Developmental Plans
