We are a small Civil Engineering firm, looking for a full-time Accountant/Bookkeeper. It’s a full-time, onsite position, with flexible hours. But we are roughly looking for 30-40 hours between 8-5 Monday to Friday. We need someone who can work in fast paced environment and perform multiple roles, who works well with others in the office and in the field to make our company better.

We need someone that can help us determine if we are making money not just on the overall project, but if we are making money by each scope that we are working on within each project.

We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Bookkeeper with experience in the AE Consultant industry. Previous accounting and accounting software experience is required. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Duties:
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Detailed A/P Entries and Batch Checks for Approval
  • Ensure Accurate Job Costing on All Projects for Contracts, Subcontracts, Change Orders
  • Compile Employee time to submit to Payroll company on a weekly basis
  • Provide and Update Project Job Cost Breakdowns
  • Weekly Bank/Credit Reconciliations & Report Disputes
  • Work with our Accountant to maintain accurate accounting Filing
  • Ensure Timely Management of Accounts Receivables
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with management, project managers, and field teams.
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of job cost accounting principles and project financial management.
  • Experience with Ajera accounting software or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general accounting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of cost-to-complete forecasting and contract management.
