Under general supervision, leads, plans, schedules, and oversees the work of Facility Attendants and Facility Attendant Trainees while performing the same and/or more difficult duties as those being led. Ensures completion of tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures; communicates policies, procedures and job expectations; and provides training to staff.
Examples of Duties:
- Leads and participates in the work of staff performing Facility Attendant and Facility Attendant Trainee duties.
- Schedules, distributes, and assigns work to employees; monitors work for progress and quality; ensures work is completed in a timely and efficient manner; reviews work.
- Provides training and mentoring to staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assists, guides, and instructs group members in the performance of their duties; provides technical direction and problem solving in response to staff work questions and problems.
- Recommends improvements and modifications to work processes, adapts work procedures to meet changing needs, and resolves less complex work problems.
- Resolves informal employee complaints, provides input to supervisor on employee performance and informs supervisor of conduct problems.
- Responds to and coordinates with supervisor to resolve routine customer inquiries and complaints.
- Interpret facility rules and regulations as per established guidelines and monitor facility users for adherence to building rules and party limitations.
- Performs the work of a Facility Attendant, including facility access and inspections, reservations, event preparation and clean up, custodial work, A/V setup, event monitoring, and making reports.

- Oversee events in progress; analyze and identify potential problems, situations and needs; accurately and quickly carry out solutions.
- Coordinate multiple simultaneous rental uses and meet critical time deadlines.
- Work independently and prioritize assignments.
- Assist users with set‑up design and read set‑up diagrams.
- Identify custodial and maintenance needs
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Deal effectively and courteously with the public.
- Provide high quality, economical services to the Citrus Heights community, placing emphasis on responsive customer service.

Facility AttendantExperience:
One (1) year as a Facility Attendant with the City of Citrus Heights or two (2) years of experience in a custodial or building attendant position with significant customer contact.
Training:
Equivalent to completion of twelfth grade.
