Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Pay: $38.00-$41.00/hr DOE + $1.00/hr Shift Differential

Cornell Pump is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist Lead to oversee our swing shift machining team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help drive production, support machinists, troubleshoot machining challenges, and ensure quality standards are met.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and support machinists and machine operators on swing shift
  • Monitor production schedules and help keep work flowing efficiently
  • Perform CNC setups, troubleshooting, and process improvements
  • Train and mentor team members on machining best practices
  • Conduct in-process inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Coordinate shift handoffs and communicate production priorities
  • Help resolve equipment downtime and manufacturing issues
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Previous lead, trainer, or shop leadership experience preferred
  • Strong CNC setup and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment
  • Experience editing or working with G-code and M-code
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Haas CNC Mills
  • Mazak Horizontal Mills
  • Fanuc Controls
  • Production machining environments

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tooling, or components up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent use of hands for operating equipment, measuring tools, and computer systems
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as required in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear
Work Environment:
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, noise, airborne particles, and industrial manufacturing conditions
  • Required use of PPE
  • Exposure to machining fluids, coolants, and other manufacturing materials
