Field Organizer

Congresswoman Janelle Bynum is running for re-election in Oregon's 5th Congressional District. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to building the grassroots organizing operation needed to elect Rep. Bynum in November. This is a full-time position that will report to the Organizing Director and is based in person in Oregon's 5th Congressional District.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, manage, and train volunteers to participate in direct voter contact; including but not limited to door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and relational organizing.
• Work to elect Rep. Bynum by knocking on doors, attending community events, and registering voters.
• Implement strategies to meet daily and weekly organizing metrics, adhere to established data standards, and ensure accurate data collection for all voter-contact activity.
• Support volunteers by providing regular 1:1 meetings, trainings, and organizing meetings.
• Build relationships with local activists, stakeholders, and organizations.
• Develop volunteer leadership teams to prepare for a robust Get Out the Vote effort.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Previous campaign experience as staff or volunteer preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to work in a field office and in the community you are assigned.
• Flexible, adaptable, scrappy, and mission focused.
• Must have access to a cell phone, vehicle, and ability to relocate if necessary.
• Access to a cell phone, vehicle, laptop, and a valid driver's license.

Salary for this position is $5,000 a month plus benefits.
