Driver Check-In Coordinator
This role coordinates all driver check-in activities at a warehouse facility, ensuring efficient communication between drivers, the warehouse team, and clients. You will manage incoming calls, provide clear instructions to drivers, update internal systems, and support scheduling and documentation to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities- Check in drivers throughout the day at the warehouse and ensure they receive clear instructions on procedures and expectations.
- Answer incoming calls from drivers and provide detailed directions to the facility, including where to park and how to access the site.
- Assign and communicate dock bays and loading or unloading instructions to drivers in a timely and professional manner.
- Update internal systems with completed orders, ensuring all information is accurate, current, and properly documented.
- Coordinate and communicate work orders with the warehouse crew to support efficient loading, unloading, and inventory handling.
- Schedule appointments and deliveries at the warehouse and at client locations, aligning driver availability with operational needs.
- Perform front desk and clerical duties, including data entry, document control, and handling customer and driver inquiries.
- Maintain clear, calm, and professional communication with drivers, clients, and coworkers, even in high-pressure or fast-paced situations.
- Monitor and navigate internal inventory systems while managing email and calls simultaneously to support real-time operations.
- Proven clerical and data entry experience, including document control responsibilities.
- Ability to navigate internal inventory systems while using email (such as Outlook) and handling phone calls at the same time.
- Customer service experience, with a focus on supporting drivers, clients, and coworkers professionally.
- Experience scheduling drivers, appointments, and deliveries in a logistics, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Strong front desk skills, including greeting and assisting visitors and drivers and managing incoming calls.
- Ability to handle high call volumes and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Resilient communication style with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism when interacting with drivers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when entering data and updating orders in internal systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and terminology.
- Comfort using multiple computer systems and software platforms concurrently.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks based on operational urgency.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an office area within a cold storage warehouse. While the overall facility is cold, this position operates in the warm section of the warehouse, providing a more comfortable office-style environment. You will work closely with warehouse staff, drivers, and administrative teams, using phones, computers, inventory systems, and email throughout the day. The setting is fast-paced and operationally focused, with frequent communication and coordination across teams to support daily logistics and warehouse activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
