A day in the life.As a Maintenance Technician, Electrical, you’ll keep mission‑critical equipment running so production never skips a beat. You’ll move between plant areas, diagnose issues, and perform hands‑on electrical work on everything from drives and motors to PLC‑controlled systems. Expect to use both standard and specialized tools and to interface with mobile equipment, pendant and overhead cranes, and forklifts as you complete preventive and corrective maintenance.
Whatyou’ll do
- Diagnose, install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic systems using schematics, AC/DC theory, PLCs, and test instruments.
- Support production operations when needed to maintain continuous throughput.
- Work independently with minimal supervision or partner with other maintenance technicians as the task requires.
- Operate across multiple plant areas where conditions may be hot, cold, wet, greasy, dirty, and noisy.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing/industrial experience (including relevant military experience) or equivalent education covering areas such as industrial electronics; motors and motor controls; schematics and electrical power; print reading; computers and PLCs; AC/DC theory and power; test instruments and instrumentation; electrical maintenance; and commercial electrical construction/installation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work rotating 8‑hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Commitment to safety procedures at all times, including wearing required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and metatarsal‑protection boots.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and self‑direction to support operational success.
