What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating notifications to appropriate facility personnel and/or emergency services.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related hazards or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorization when required, and assist with visitor flow, way finding, and compliance with facility rules.
- Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff to support continuity of security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment with vaccines.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
