Schedule: Split shifts

• Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM–8:30 AM | 2:30 PM–4:30 PM

Pay: $17.00/hour Position: School Security

SMSSI is seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide security and safety services at a school facility in Clairton, PA. The ideal candidate is alert, customer-service oriented, able to communicate effectively, and comfortable working independently.

• Monitor and patrol assigned school areas and identify security concerns, hazards, or emergencies.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site Post Orders and company policies.
• Prepare accurate, concise, and legible incident reports.
• Communicate security concerns and incidents to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
• Follow all site-specific procedures, company policies, and required training.
• Provide professional customer service and assist with de-escalating situations when necessary.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, remain professional, and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
• Must meet all applicable Pennsylvania licensing/registration requirements.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required screenings, including:

• Criminal background check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Child Line)
• FBI background check
• PATCH background check
• Motor vehicle record check, if applicable
• Credit check, if required
• Drug/alcohol screening, if required by the company or client
• Any additional client or jurisdictional requirements

Must be able to successfully complete all required background checks and maintain any required licenses, registrations, or permits throughout employment.
