The facility operates a dedicated Cancer Center providing comprehensive oncology services. The center offers both inpatient and outpatient treatment options for hematology and oncology patients. The facility maintains modern equipment and protocols to support advanced cancer care delivery.

This region of Alabama features notable attractions including the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, and the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. Visitors can explore state parks such as Monte Sano State Park, which offers hiking trails and gardens, alongside maritime museums and music venues. The clinician will provide Monday through Friday clinic coverage excluding new patient appointments, conduct hospital consultations, and fulfill weekend call obligations. Board certification in both hematology and medical oncology is mandatory. The position requires 24-hour call availability and prescriptive authority for comprehensive patient care. Day shift responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient services along with clinic operations.
