Position Overview:
This role is within the Emergency Department at a healthcare facility and involves coordinating staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring quality patient care.
- Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts.
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop appropriate care assignments.
- Evaluate patient care effectiveness and address issues impacting outcomes.
- Respond to patient care complaints and manage resolutions.
- Contribute to hiring, training, and staff development initiatives.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within six months, depending on unit.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program and at least one year of relevant experience.
