Keck Graduate Institute is seeking qualified adjunct instructors for the course:
- ENG 5140 Bioseparations Engineering and Science (Spring, 1.5 credits)
This course covers scientific principles and engineering practices for the separation and purification of biomolecules, including unit operations such as centrifugation, filtration, membrane separations, and chromatography. It involves mathematical evaluation of performance and discusses case studies on purification of proteins, enzymes, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and gene therapy products. Knowledge of mass balance, algebra, calculus, and mass transfer principles is required.
Qualifications- Minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field; a doctoral degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, with active learning experience preferred.
- Experience with Canvas LMS is a plus.
- Deliver high-quality instruction
- Evaluate student performance
- Provide remedial instruction as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ability to analyze and present complex issues
- Adaptability to changing priorities
Ability to maintain focus, attention to detail, and communicate effectively. Physical ability to sit, stand, reach, manipulate objects, and lift up to 20 lbs. Willingness to travel locally as needed.
