The Chemistry Program of the Department of Natural Sciences at Pitzer and Scripps Colleges seeks to hire a Visiting Professor in Organic Chemistry to teach organic chemistry lectures and laboratories. The appointment begins in August 2026 and is a full‑time, 2‑year position. Opportunities to direct undergraduate research projects are also possible. Rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Professor, depending on experience.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field before starting and prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
Salary will be in the range of $78,000 – $85,000, depending on experience.
