Join the Design & Manufacturing Experience Design (D&M XD) team in APAC—a global community of designers, researchers, and strategists shaping the future of how things are made. Our mission is to empower the world to make anything—more sustainably, intelligently, and inclusively—by leveraging the power of AI, data, and design.

You’ll be joining a team of 10 designers who work in a flexible hybrid environment that values collaboration, autonomy, and inclusive problem‑solving across cultures and time zones.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a P3 Senior Designer to help shape the future of manufacturing through Autodesk Fusion, our industry‑leading design and make platform. In this role, you will apply strategic thinking, user‑centred design, and systems‑level insight to create solutions that support a broad range of users and real‑world design challenges.

You’ll work cross‑functionally with global teams to deliver thoughtful, data‑informed, and responsible AI‑powered experiences that enhance the way products are imagined, designed, and built.

Responsibilities
  • Apply inclusive, human‑centred design practices to generate deep user insights
  • Translate research and strategy into effective, accessible, and scalable design solutions
  • Design and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity UIs using Figma
  • Plan and conduct user research and usability testing independently
  • Use systems‑level thinking to address complex, multi‑layered design challenges
  • Clearly communicate design intent through storytelling, visuals, and structured presentations
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers using tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Support and mentor peers; contribute to evolving design practices and culture
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions and track impact
  • Facilitate inclusive workshops and co‑creation sessions to foster alignment and ideation
  • Monitor and improve design outcomes tied to user and business success metrics
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in UX, interaction, or product design
  • Proven experience designing user‑centred digital products or platforms
  • Proficiency in Figma and contemporary design tools
  • Strong research and synthesis skills grounded in empathy and critical thinking
  • Clear and confident communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively in hybrid or distributed environments
  • Demonstrated project leadership and peer support or mentorship
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AI/ML‑powered product experiences
  • Background or experience in 3D environments such as media and entertainment, architecture, rendering, or mechanical engineering—and how this helps in understanding the problems our customers face
  • Passion for and familiarity with CAD, 3D visualization, or technical design software (these are the tools you’ll be designing for)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements in large‑scale environments
