Schedule:Full time – 1st Shift- 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

About the Role

Centro is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Materials Coordinator to support inventory control and material flow activities within our manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting efficient stores operations, ensuring material availability for production, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The Materials Coordinator plays a vital role in minimizing production disruptions while supporting Centro's safety, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and support Centro's Safety System to help prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Assist with inventory accuracy and material flow processes.
  • Ensure proper implementation of process changes related to stores, labeling, packaging, and manpower requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock-outs to Purchasing to proactively prevent production downtime.
  • Investigate stock-outs and significant production disruptions to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Conduct weekly inventories of cardboard and pallets.
  • Order packaging and other required materials on a regular basis or as needed.
  • Track packaging inventory and communicate requirements to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Disposition nonconforming or questionable products in accordance with company quality procedures.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Centro's Quality System.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counting activities.
  • Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
