Licensed Vocational Nurse

Pay Range: $35.00 - $38.00

Full-Time: 9:00am-5:30pm (Tuesday-Saturday)

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Director of Health Services, the Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for supervising CNAs/Nurse Aids to ensure quality patient care and needs.

• Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co‑workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
• Arrives to work on time, in proper clean uniform, with good personal hygiene and a visible nametag.
• Coordinates and performs resident assessments and plan of care evaluations when appropriate.
• Coordinates and performs needed treatments, medications or other nursing interventions as indicated by the patient plan of care or as ordered by the physician.
• Ensures all needed emergency measures are followed as per facility policy and within standards of nursing practice.
• Maintains inventory of medical supplies and medications to meet patient/resident needs.
• Ensures that all patient/resident rights are protected.
• Maintains all documentation as required by Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner, using equipment correctly and safely in providing patient/resident care.
• Follows department safety protocols at all times, wears safety equipment as required, and reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.
• Maintains highest standards of cleanliness and follows all federal, state and corporate policies, health codes and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
• Attends all mandatory in‑service meetings and complies with all department and facility policies and procedures.

• All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees.

• Must be able to understand, follow, support and initiate policies and procedures of the facility.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.

• Licensed Vocational Nurse – California.

• Vocational school certification or associate’s degree.

• 0 years of knowledge of state and federal regulations (essential).
• 0 years of long‑term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nursing experience (non‑essential).

The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).
