Full Time Description

• Under direction, maintains irrigation systems, inspects, audits, adjusts and repairs irrigation systems. Works cooperatively and respectfully with residents, coworkers, families, visitors and volunteers to create a positive and pleasant environment throughout the campus.

• Under direction, completes assignments and ensures satisfactory completion of all work performed in a safe manner.
• Operates, maintains and repairs existing irrigation systems to ensure adequate moisture for plantings.
• Sets and maintains automatic irrigation systems to run systematically according to the landscape care program. Replaces automatic timers as required.
• Designs, installs, tests and maintains new irrigation systems, and controllers.
• Orders irrigation supplies, maintains stock parts and equipment as authorized.
• Troubleshoot irrigation issues and resolve water waste concerns.
• Operates a variety of tools and equipment used in irrigation installation and maintenance.
• Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships.
• Maintain tools and gardening equipment in good repair.
• Drive trucks and other motor vehicles as needed.
• Participate in the Culture Change process through committee assignments that may involve Steering Committee, Action Teams, Person First, and/or self-led neighborhood/household teams.
• Attend meetings and serve on various employee committees as assigned.
• Practice good safety habits and participate as a Safety Team member.
• Proactively support the achievement of all team and organizational goals.

• Experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance.
• Experience in irrigation valve installation and maintenance.
• Ability to install sprinkler timers and troubleshoot wiring.
• Valid California drivers license with good driving record.
• Ability to be organized and follow up with written and verbal work requests in English
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in a variety of circumstances and make sound judgments.
