Chemistry Teacher

The Claremont School District is located in the beautiful and picturesque Upper Valley Area of New Hampshire. The Claremont School District is approximately 35 minutes from Mount Sunapee Ski Resort and 30 minutes from all of the concerts and athletic events at Dartmouth College in Hanover. The Connecticut River flows nearby, making kayaking and canoeing very convenient after work and on the weekends.

Hiking trails are plentiful. Many would say it is a great location to raise a family, renew your sense of wonder, and be part of a vibrant community supporting its schools.

Title: Chemistry Science Teacher

Reports to: Building Principal

Terms of Employment: Full-Time/Up to 185 days

FLSA Classification: Exempt

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and hold a NH Educator Certification or be eligible for a site-based learning plan, as demonstrated by a statement of eligibility.

The teacher is up to date regarding curriculum content and effectively plans instruction, assessment of student learning, and monitors students' understanding of the curriculum. The teacher establishes and encourages a positive student learning environment and provides clear communication with students. The teacher uses appropriate instructional techniques as well as continually evaluates, experiments, and refines instructional strategies while managing the classroom environment.

The teacher fulfills professional responsibilities, including working with department-level and school-wide teams, sharing responsibility for the accomplishment of school and system-level goals and policies.
