The Prototype Test Engineer is responsible for developing equipment that will both ensure quality of all production products as well as validate design goals. This engineer will need to have a fundamental understanding of how the cold plate functions and work in order to develop these test systems. They will be responsible to design, develop and maintain test procedures, tester hardware, and software for production.

This is an electromechanical role.

Mikros Technologies liquid cooling systems are deployed in servers in large AI data centers and help to increase the energy efficiency of these sites. We also make active liquid cooling systems that are utilized in semiconductor test equipment for providing fast thermal control to maintain a constant temperature under a varying heat load.

What will you do?
  • Review designs for testability requirements.
  • Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
  • Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through to initial production.
  • Generate reports and analysis of test data, prepare documentation and recommendations.
  • Review test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with customers regularly.
  • Design, and direct engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel.
  • Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
How will you get here?

Education:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering
Experience:
  • 5 years of related experience preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering or related.
  • Strong understanding of mechatronics and/or electromechanical systems.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Previous test experience in a manufacturing or R & D environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge with metrology of fluid systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Linux or other scripting languages is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Detailed knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, Manufacturing Principles, Interference Checks.
  • Broad knowledge developing high complexity projects that have required one or more of Mechanical Engineering Design specializations or competencies:
    Tolerance Analysis, DFM, Serviceability.
  • Leads ME projects with multiple engineers assigned.
  • Leads cross-functional and ME design reviews.
  • Detailed knowledge (with moderate complexity) of Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards.
  • Influence others and share best practices.
  • Effectively communicate with good understanding of English.
  • Work as part of a global team.
  • Assess a project and articulate risk while developing project milestones.
  • Develop projects in a stage-gate process (PLCQ).
  • Mentor less experienced engineers.
