Prototype Test Engineer- Mechatronics

The Prototype Test Engineer is responsible for developing equipment that ensures the quality of all production products and validates design goals. This electromechanical role focuses on cold plate function and work to support Mikros Technologies liquid cooling systems deployed in servers and semiconductor test equipment.

• Review designs for testability requirements.
• Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, and reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
• Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures from product design phase through to initial production.
• Generate reports and analysis of test data, preparing documentation and recommendations.
• Review test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with customers regularly.
• Design and direct engineering and technical personnel in the fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
• Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel.
• Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment.
• Comply with all company security policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of mechatronics and/or electromechanical systems.
• 3–5 years of test experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
• Knowledge of fluid system metrology is a plus.
• Experience with Linux or other scripting languages preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, finite element analysis, tolerances, manufacturing principles, interference checks.
• Broad knowledge of high‑complexity projects requiring mechanical engineering design specializations: tolerance analysis, DFM, serviceability.
• Experience with cross‑functional collaboration, compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor less experienced engineers.
