At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Program Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities- Have full knowledge of the use of the Patient Scheduling System and the ability to schedule clinic appointments
- Work closely with coding and billing staff to maintain up-to-date insurance, billing, and registration requirements
- Assist with securing coverage for planned and unplanned absences in the Department
- Coordinates departmental ordering, tracks and submits appropriately coded invoices to Director; monitors and stays within expense budget.
- Firm understanding of the key functions of an Occupational Health Department
- Work collaboratively with other departments to meet the full spectrum of patient/company needs.
- Work collaboratively with area businesses to connect them with necessary occupational health services.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years of medical office experience along with Medical Terminology
- High integrity, able to follow procedures
- Ability to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processes
- Exhibits professionalism at all times, and understands appropriate workplace behavior/communications.
- Confidentiality is a must
