About the Position

Summary:

The Echo Technologist performs diagnostic echo cardiographic procedures to evaluate cardiac structure and function. Using ultrasound technology, the technologist obtains high-quality images of the heart to assist cardiologists in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. This role requires strong technical skills, patient care expertise, and knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities:

⁠Verify patient identity and review physician orders.

Explain procedures and obtain patient history relevant to cardiac health.

Prepare and position patients for transthoracic (TTE) and other echo studies.

Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to emergencies.

Maintain patient privacy and comfort throughout the exam.

Requirements
Requirements:

Minimum - Associates Degree from accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS eligible background with 1 year of cardiac echo experience. Required

Certified through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) in Adult Echocardiography. Required

Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire. Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Required
