About the Position
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $28.00/Hourly.
Summary:
The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the medical staff office and credentialing functions for two affiliated critical access hospitals. This position ensures compliance with hospital bylaws, regulatory requirements (CMS, Joint Commission, etc.), and professional standards. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between the medical staff, administration, and governing bodies of both hospitals, ensuring consistent and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:
Manage initial and reappointment processes for all medical staff and allied health professionals.
Verify credentials, education, licensure, board certifications, and work history in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Maintain accurate, confidential credentialing databases.
Coordinate with department chairs and medical executive committees on privileging decisions.
Schedule and coordinate Medical Staff, Department, and Committee meetings across both hospitals.
Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and follow-up documents.
Assist in the development and maintenance of medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations.
Serve as resource for medical staff regarding bylaws, hospital policies, and credentialing.
Requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ yrs current medical credentialing experience Required,
Minimum 2+ yrs current Medical Staff Office experience Required,
Medical terminology experience Required,
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field Preferred,
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) Preferred,
Experience with CAHs, rural healthcare, or multi-site coordination Preferred,
