Position: Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Claremont, NH
A professional nurse with leadership skills, clinical expertise, and compassion is needed to oversee unit operations and patient care as an RN Charge Nurse in Claremont, NH. This contract role offers the opportunity to both practice clinical nursing and guide a nursing team, helping to mentor and develop new nurses toward clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a clinical RN, managing a small patient assignment (1-3 patients) when needed
• Perform charge nurse duties including supervising LPNs, RNs, and LNAs and delegating care effectively
• Coordinate nursing assignments and employee breaks, adjusting for patient acuity and admissions/discharges
• Assist nursing staff with patient care, monitor lab results, and liaise with departments such as pharmacy, lab, and radiology
• Address employee performance concerns and resolve conflicts in real-time
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient charts
• Communicate with nursing teams and hospital management concerning daily operations-discharges, transfers, and admissions
• Act as house supervisor during off shifts, managing bed availability and coordinating with administrators and other hospitals as necessary
