Call for Salary Rate –
Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a rural skilled nursing facility. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and supervision of CNA staff to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and document residents’ mental and physical well-being, escalating changes to the Supervisor and physician as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders, maintaining electronic documentation.
- Supervise and assign duties to Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) in compliance with state licensing requirements.
- Assist during physician rounds, address residents’ medical needs, and facilitate effective communication.
- Perform wound care, including managing wound vacs, and provide other clinical procedures per policies.
- Maintain unit cleanliness, monitor infection control practices, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active LVN/LPN license in good standing.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience within the last 6 months.
- Be willing to float to other units as needed.
- Obtain IV certification (willing to get during onboarding if not certified).
- Be Covid vaccinated with proof of vaccination; no declinations accepted.
- Reside more than 50 miles from the facility location.
