Job Summary:
Assist residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily activities while providing basic nursing and restorative care under supervision. Ensure a safe, respectful environment that promotes residents’ well-being and dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Support residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and skin care treatments according to care plans.
- Assist residents with ambulation, positioning, turning, and transfers to promote safety and mobility.
- Provide nourishment, hydration, and assistance with toileting, bowel and bladder training, and monitoring input/output.
- React to emergency situations by following facility protocols, ensuring resident safety at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality, adhere to infection control procedures, and respect residents’ spiritual beliefs.
- Document care provided, observe and report significant changes, and communicate effectively with licensed staff.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least 1 year of current CNA experience in a healthcare setting.
- Willing to work in a facility with the ability to float to different units as needed.
- Previous rural or small facility experience preferred.
- Certified in CPR/BLS (AHA) and able to provide certification documentation.
- Hold a valid state CNA license.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and teamwork.
