American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a combined Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU unit at a rural hospital, requiring 3+ years of relevant experience and comfort working across all three specialties.

• Rural, 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital with a 24/7 emergency department
• Combined Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU unit
• Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
• RN to patient ratio of 5:1 depending on acuity, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years of PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry experience required
• Comfort and competency working across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU specialties required
• Basic dysrhythmia test required in profile
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Rural or small facility experience highly preferred

• Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly to the unit
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled:
  Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Maximum of 5 days RTO approved for this 13-week assignment, and must be submitted at time of profile upload
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• All scheduling requests must be included at time of submission, as requests after offer will not be approved
