Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting activities and financial reporting for a publicly traded company. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close process, preparing financial analyses, and partnering with operational teams.

The company is on a 9/80 schedule - 4 days onsite M-TH, Friday remote, and every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial and operational information, including inventory, production, and cost-related data.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Support fixed asset accounting, capital expenditures, and related accounting activities.
• Prepare and record journal entries as part of monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Support accounts payable activities and help resolve accounting-related issues.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
• Contribute to accounting projects, process improvements, and other business initiatives as needed.
• Provide additional accounting support across the organization as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, public accounting, or audit.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
