Cedar Cove Academy is currently seeking a passionate, experienced Toddler Master Teacher to lead and inspire our toddler classroom. The ideal candidate is nurturing, creative, and highly knowledgeable in early childhood development, with a strong ability to design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of toddlers. This position is full‑time opening shift 6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday.
This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining classroom quality, mentoring staff, and creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally rich learning environment.
Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed early childhood setting
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or Master Teacher credentials (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of toddler development and age‑appropriate teaching strategies
- Strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Must meet all state licensing and background check requirements

- Sample lesson plans specific to toddlers
- Examples of age‑appropriate activities aligned with developmental milestones
- Evidence of intentional teaching practices
- Documentation of classroom organization and learning environment strategies
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans for toddlers
- Create a warm, responsive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Observe, assess, and document children’s development and progress
- Maintain consistent daily routines that support toddler needs
- Collaborate with teaching team members to ensure high‑quality care and instruction
- Build positive, professional relationships with families through ongoing communication
- Ensure health, safety, and licensing standards are consistently met
- Serve as a mentor and role model for assistant teachers
