About the Opportunity

Tree Top Staffing is partnering with a growing aerospace and precision manufacturing organization seeking experienced CNC Machinists to support complex machining operations in a highly technical production environment.

This is a strong opportunity for machinists who are experienced with precision parts, complex setups, multi-axis CNC equipment, and aerospace or regulated manufacturing standards. The right candidate s will be comfortable working with tight tolerances, engineered drawings, inspection tools, and high-quality expectations.

The organization is continuing to expand its machining capabilities, add equipment, and grow its team. This is an excellent opportunity for CNC Machinists who want to work on challenging aerospace components and build a long-term career in a high-performance manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes, including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis equipment.
  • Work with large multi-axis machining centers and precision aerospace components.
  • Machine parts from materials such as aluminum, titanium, and high-temperature alloys.
  • Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and router packets.
  • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Make calculations, adjustments, and offsets to ensure parts meet required specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance, tool wear, part quality, and overall production flow.
  • Read and understand G-code or CNC control parameters.
  • Verify part conformity throughout the machining process.
  • Deburr parts and ensure finished components meet quality expectations.
  • Maintain accurate production, inspection, and maintenance records in accordance with quality requirements.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience required.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, precision manufacturing, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Multi-axis machining experience strongly preferred, especially 5-axis machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement tools and in-process inspection.
  • Ability to work with tight tolerances and complex parts.
  • Strong math, measurement, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, aerospace quality standards, or regulated manufacturing documentation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, quality, and workmanship.
Senior-Level Machinist Qualifications
  • 7+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with complex setups, difficult precision parts, and multi-axis CNC equipment.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability related to tooling, offsets, machine performance, and part quality.
  • Ability to read, understand, and edit G-code or CNC control parameters.
  • Experience training, guiding, or supporting junior machinists.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace or regulated manufacturing documentation and quality expectations.

This role is expected to support a weekend shift schedule:

Friday through Sunday, 12-hour shifts, paid for 40 hours.

Shift options may include:

  • 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM

Candidates must be comfortable working long shifts in a manufacturing environment and following all required safety and quality procedures.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull approximately 25 to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, coolant, metal chips, and required PPE.
  • Must be comfortable working in a safety-sensitive manufacturing role.
  • Must follow all applicable safety, quality, and compliance standards.
