ALS Optimization and Monitoring Engineer
This role is responsible to deliver well surveillance services under the Production Link Expert services. Optimize, troubleshoot and improve artificial lift system performance in order to meet customer operational goals (production, runtime, uptime, etc.). Remotely adjust system performance as conditions change. Create and maintain an analytical artificial lift model in the platform to aid in system optimization efforts. Capture and develop successful impact events and case studies to improve market share and justify services.
Collaborate with regional technical SMEs and customers to build system operational strategy to meet targets.
- Deliver artificial lift well surveillance services under the Production Link Expert services to global customers using the Production Link platform.
- Remotely adjust and optimize ESP (electrical submersible pump) systems to meet customer goals (production, runtime, uptime, etc.).
- Identify successful impact events to support service value added.
- Capture and generate successful case studies based on optimization actions delivered to customers.
- Communicate with customers to recommend ESP optimization strategies.
- Prepare, deliver, and present monthly KPI reports to customers to demonstrate progress and justify services.
- Create and update well analytics models to evaluate sizing model against the system real‑time performance.
- Follow customer‑customized communication protocols to meet operational requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with field personnel to troubleshoot system communications (SCADA) and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) setup.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote an HSE interdependent culture through weekly safety moment discussions and observations.
- Communicate across direct organization; present to senior leaders in specific technical spaces and on cross‑functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.
- Handle latitude in project techniques; choose right approaches based on technical know‑how.
- Handle diverse clients in a region, following frameworks to navigate the processes and negotiate client‑specific conditions.
- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED.
- Have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in Artificial Lift Systems.
- Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) system operations, technical support or applications engineering.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, 7 days on with 12 hour per shift & 7 days off.
- Have a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in artificial lift systems multi‑regional applications engineering or field operations.
- Have 2+ years of experience with multiple variable speed drives control settings and operating modes.
- Have previous experience with ALS well surveillance systems.
