Quality Specialist – QA Engineering

Driving operational excellence through governance, quality systems, and continuous improvement, the Quality Specialist – QA Engineering strengthens quality performance to deliver reliable and compliant outcomes across Baker Hughes' global operations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on approaches and methodologies for solving complex quality challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze product and process performance using statistical tools and data‑driven techniques.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives to address quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen projects.
  • Investigate customer complaints and ensure timely resolution and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies, and procedures; escalating risks when necessary.
  • Track and deliver on continuous improvement metrics and performance targets.
  • Support internal and external audits, customer inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant quality records in line with retention requirements.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and compliance across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with significant quality‑related experience).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead small teams or initiatives.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willing and able to work in a 100% onsite environment, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
