PAYYOURBILL JOB OPENING
Carpenter Responsibilities- Work with & supervise the coordination of a team of marine carpenters in daily tasks & projects.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Fabricate and install structural elements and finishes using various carpentry techniques and materials suitable for marine environments.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all phases of construction and repair.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify compliance with design and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to resolve technical issues and achieve project goals.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory, ensuring availability for ongoing and future projects.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters to enhance team skills and productivity.
- Must clear a clean driving record check.
- Proven experience as a marine carpenter or similar role
- At least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and effectively guide a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Valid MA Driver’s License
- CDL-B with Manual and Air Brakes Endorsement a plus but not required
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour; 40-45 hours per week

- A valid MS driver’s license
- MASS DOT medical card (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Applying the “Beacon Way of Carpentry” to construct and install marine structures with precision and quality.
- Gain proficiency in boat handling, operating heavy machinery, driving trucks, rigging, working around cranes, pile driving, welding, and other trade skills.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
