Direct Support Professional

HOME OF HOPE seeks a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on care and guidance to children and young mothers in our faith-based residential program. In this on-site role, you will support daily living activities, personal care, and life skills coaching while ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. You will follow individualized care plans, document progress, and collaborate closely with counselors and case managers.

Ideal candidates are patient, dependable, and mission-driven, with experience in residential care, social services, or working with at-risk youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to residents in a faith-based residential program
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and life skills development
• Ensure safety, structure, and a nurturing environment for children and young mothers
• Implement individualized care plans and document progress accurately
• Support educational, therapeutic, and recreational activities
• Model positive behavior, empathy, and respect in all interactions
• Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and program staff on resident needs
• Communicate effectively with team members during shift changes and meetings
• Respond calmly and appropriately to crises or behavioral incidents
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
