OverviewWe are looking for a reliable, positive, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to serve as a point of contact for our customers in the North and Central, New Jersey area. In this role, you will work with the Office Manager to bring the helpful, premium customer experience associated with the Ace brand directly into our customers' homes and businesses.
This position is the operational heart of our local office. You will listen to customer needs, help them schedule the right services, and coordinate details with our craftsmen and owners. If you enjoy solving practical problems, managing schedules, and working with a supportive, close-knit team, this role offers a stable path with competitive pay.
What Success Looks LikeIn this role, success means keeping our local operations running smoothly while ensuring our customers feel valued and heard. Here is what you will focus on:
Daily Operations: You will answer incoming phone calls and respond to online inquiries, helping customers find the right home improvement solutions and scheduling their appointments. You will also communicate with our field craftsmen to coordinate their daily schedules and project details.
Administrative Accuracy: You will enter customer details into our management software, complete daily administrative audits, process customer billings, and take payments.
Over Time: You will learn to provide accurate time and material estimates for incoming jobs (we will train you on this process). As you master our systems, you will become a key coordinator who helps maximize our team's daily efficiency and customer satisfaction.
What We Are Looking For Must-Have Requirements:Experience in dedicated customer service roles.
Aptitude for handling appointment booking, calendar management, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
Strong phone communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly, listen actively, and accurately explain services.
Proven administrative experience, including data entry, basic clerical duties, and processing customer payments.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
A collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to work late when the team needs it.
Nice-to-HaveSkills:
Prior experience or familiarity with the construction, remodeling, or home improvement industries.
Experience utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) or service scheduling software.
Previous experience in basic project management or service sales.
Experience utilizing guided call flows or sales scripts.
Compensation and BenefitsPay Rate: $48k to $52k per year.
