Senior Procurement Manager – Electrical Construction
Location: Clark, NJ
Salary Range: $95,000 - $145,000

Our client has built a reputation for delivering complex electrical construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. The RoleAs Senior Procurement Manager, you'll oversee all purchasing and supply chain activities across multiple large-scale electrical construction projects. You'll be responsible for sourcing critical electrical materials and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless material flow to job sites. This role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a dynamic, project‑driven environment.
What You'll Do- Lead procurement strategy for utility, industrial, and wireless infrastructure projects
- Source and negotiate pricing for electrical materials including switch gear, transformers, wire/cable, conduit, and substation components
- Partner with project management and estimating teams to support bids and align purchasing with budgets
- Build and maintain a network of reliable suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to anticipate material requirements
- Monitor market trends and implement cost‑saving initiatives
- Ensure on‑time delivery of materials to multiple active job sites
- Maintain procurement documentation and support compliance requirements
- 5‑10+ years of procurement experience in electrical contracting, construction, or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials and construction supply chains
- Proven track record negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships
- Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred
- Experience with utility, substation, or transmission & distribution projects
- Familiarity with union construction environments
- Knowledge of Northeast regional suppliers
