High-Level Overview

The person in this role will manage cross-functional development projects, which may include strategic catalog updates, plant transfers, new product launches, and other key initiatives.

This individual will serve as a go-to resource to support the team during short-term absences. Once fully onboarded, they will be expected to independently manage a product launch from start to finish with minimal oversight.

We are seeking a seasoned development professional who can quickly ramp up and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and manage project timelines, identify key tasks and milestones, and minimize risk to ensure on-time launches in compliance with internal quality systems.
  • Present launch and cross-functional project reviews, and escalate risks to operational and divisional leadership as needed.
  • Partner with Marketing to guide innovation briefs and product concepts to ensure alignment with agility, profitability, and long-term strategy goals.
  • Engage Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to drive participation and accountability across projects.
  • Lead project review meetings and drive resolution of roadblocks.
  • Evaluate launch viability in terms of cost, timeline, and sustainability.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and emerging trends within product development.
  • Drive risk assessments with cross-functional partners to create mitigation plans and secure approval of technical backup solutions to protect timelines.
  • Collaborate on harmonization, profitability, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage plant transfers as needed.
  • Serve as a communication link between divisional and industrial teams.
  • Manage projects through all required stage-gate processes.
  • Conduct feasibility cost and cost-of-goods analysis.
  • Provide value analysis support to plants and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with Research and Development teams.
  • Support research and development of packaging components.
  • Interface with manufacturing management and related functional areas.
  • Provide development support and guidance to team members, including feasibility costing tied to design and aesthetic decisions.
  • Coordinate meetings, document minutes, and track follow-ups.
Qualifications
  • Senior Manager level experience preferred; minimum 7 years of experience in package/product development and project management, ideally within consumer goods or a related industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field required.
  • Technical packaging experience is a plus.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and project information.
  • Proactive in staying current with industry trends and technologies.
  • Ability to assume a leadership role within the development team and on special projects as needed.
  • Experience supporting global markets is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to work onsite in the office, as this is an essential function of the rol
