Job Summary

The Hard Services Manager will be responsible for the overall delivery of managed services to the client. They will coordinate and support all activities of the department and will interface with all levels of the facility staff in all matters relating to the Scope of Work at assigned Unit(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring timely completion of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities for all building systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and Work Instructions for documentation supporting all tasks mechanics complete.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for specialized repairs, installations, or upgrades.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues related to HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety equipment, and structural integrity.
  • Manage procurement processes including purchasing parts, equipment, and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory control.
  • Execute and supervise safety protocols and training programs to promote a safe working environment for staff and contractors.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, work orders, and compliance documentation.
  • Utilize management software systems for work order tracking, inventory management (CMMS systems experience is a plus), and reporting purposes.
  • Foster strong communication channels within the team and across departments to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications
  • Proven management experience in facilities maintenance or engineering roles with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and building automation systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of kettles, vessels, filling line equipment and processing equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure quality services at favorable terms.
  • Exceptional communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for diverse teams or locations.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and procurement processes including purchasing and bookkeeping practices.
  • Experience in safety compliance standards such as OSHA regulations or local building codes.
  • Ability to lead training sessions on technical operations as needed.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
