We are seeking an EU Brands Director, LDB Development
, where you will lead the local development of global innovation and technical plans for Vichy and La Roche-Posay, based in our Clark, New Jersey Operations Hub for the US. As the #1 market globally for La Roche-Posay, the US serves as the critical hub for growth. In this role, you will act as the strategic bridge between US Marketing, DMI, Creative, and Global Operations, leading an integrated team of product developers, a color & artwork developer, and an external project manager to navigate high-complexity feasibility studies, industrial strategic mapping, and color & artwork resource management.
Day in the Life:
- Leading Development Strategically
- Act as the Strategic Lead for product development, connecting innovation teams (LRP US DMI Hub and R&I) with Global Operations.
- Shape and vet product plans for La Roche-Posay US, offering operational foresight to define the technical path for high-impact launches and core-catalogue localizations.
- Lead feasibility studies for localized production and/or interplant transfers between EU and US, balancing speed-to-market with technical excellence and sustainability.
- Integrate color & artwork activities to ensure operational and workflow efficiency.
- Transformational Operational Leadership & Influence
- Directly lead and coach the development team, fostering ambition, professional maturity, and an environment where direct reports optimize workflows and challenge conventional production methodologies.
- Influence and engage senior stakeholders with executive leadership presence and a solution-minded approach to complex global challenges.
- Coordinate with EU operational partners to ensure brand integrity and launch excellence for high-complexity products under worldwide governance.
- Provide strategic thought leadership by anticipating future operational trends and addressing short-term crises with organized, influential communication.
- Education: A completed Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related engineering/technical discipline is required
- Experience : 10+ years of experience in product development or project management within dermo-cosmetics, prestige beauty, or consumer goods is required.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing and negotiating effectively with senior leadership and diverse global partners.
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft 365 and relevant project management software.
- A team-oriented leader, adept at building strong, collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams and geographical boundaries.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
