About the RoleOur Clark facility is part of the Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. The facility consists of two buildings: the North building produces natural flavoring and essential oils, and the South building produces seasonings for meat, chicken broth and beef gravy.
Key Responsibilities- Compound batches that meet quality and consistency standards in a cost‑effective, safe, and timely manner.
- Accurately compound formulas by weight and by ingredients, selecting the best methodology for each product or mix.
- Apply working knowledge of all raw materials before use, ensuring quality through mixing and heating where appropriate.
- Utilize inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials.
- Operate pumps, mixers, scales, forklift trucks, high‑density storage units, meters, and computer equipment.
- Fill out daily scale logs on all scales before the start of the shift; notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Follow all manufacturing instructions on the formula batch sheet and use proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality.
- Label all batches properly for laboratory evaluation.
- Follow 5S and Good Manufacturing Procedure guidelines to maintain good housekeeping and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Handle allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures.
- Conform to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual; report deviations to management and QA and set affected product aside until further instruction.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
- Experience in laboratory or industrial compounding of food ingredients and flavors.
- Knowledge of raw material handling and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and process controls.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work during 2nd shift, Monday to Friday with some overtime and weekends.
Pay range: $17.34 – $27.56 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire at the top of the range; compensation decisions depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
