Global Hazard Communication & SDS Author (SAP Product Compliance)
Internal title: Regulatory Coordinator
A day in this role
You start your morning reviewing a new formulation from R&D. You examine toxicology and ecotoxicology data, confirm mixture classifications under Haz Com 2024, WHMIS 2022, and the EU CLP, then open SAP Product Compliance to author an accurate, multilingual Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Before lunch, you enter hazard details into our SAP-based system to generate compliant labels for both lab-scale and production operations.
In the afternoon, you field questions from colleagues about transport classifications and waste considerations, validate packaging requirements for a dangerous goods shipment, and log updates into the internal hazard database so every team—from marketing to the plant floor—has the right information at the right time.
As part of your routine cadence, you run periodic audits to safeguard data integrity across hazard communication and transportation records, support reviews of SDS documents received from contract and third-party manufacturers, and help refine procedures that keep our SDS processes current and consistent. You keep transportation certifications (DOT, IATA, IMDG) active and your regulatory knowledge sharp, continuously tracking domestic and international chemical inventories to ensure complete and current SDS regulatory sections.
