Chemist SAHDC

The Associate Chemist will support Hair Care Development and Styling projects through hands‑on formulation and laboratory activities. This role involves batching, stability testing, sample preparation, documentation, quality control analysis, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.

• 1‑3 years industry experience OR have gone through cosmetics program
• Personal care or formulation experience required

• Formulation and Laboratory Work:
  Perform formulation batching for hair care and styling products, conduct stability studies, and monitor sample performance.
• Fill, label, and prepare samples for testing.
• Operate small‑scale lab bench manufacturing kettles.
• Submit requests for microbiological, safety, and evaluation testing.

• Perform quality control measurements.
• Conduct microscopic analysis as required.
• Troubleshoot formulations and recommend improvements.
• Compile ingredient information for internal review and reporting.

• B.A. or B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
• 1‑3 years industry experience OR have gone through cosmetics program.
• Personal care or formulation experience required.
