Position Overview

We are seeking a Chemist to join our Skincare Development team in our Clark, NJ facility for Research & Innovation. You will create, coordinate, and implement innovative skincare product development programs to support our innovation strategies. Your responsibilities include developing robust, technically sound formulation solutions that meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements; initiating lab‑scale experimentation; evaluating compatibility and stability; and ensuring a smooth transition of innovative products through development to manufacturing.

You will work in a matrix‑reporting organization, collaborating with both local R&I and international teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new and robust skincare formulations correlating the relationship between ingredients and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver on aggressive timelines with maximized operational efficiency.
  • Consider processing, operating, and design factors that affect skincare formulations.
  • Apply creativity and resourcefulness to solve issues that may arise during product development or in anticipation of pilot plant or manufacturing challenges.
  • Support brand post‑launch activities, including participation in lab events with external guests to showcase formulation expertise and brand superiority.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, or a related scientific/engineering discipline is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in formulation research, ideally in a personal care or cosmetic field.
    • Experience in skincare is a plus.
    • Proven experience in research and development, demonstrating a project‑oriented mindset focused on delivering robust, innovative, and highly functional products.
