Physical Chemist​/Research Scientist

Our client, a leading organization in the industry, is seeking a Physical Chemist / Research Scientist to join their innovative team. As a Post-Doctoral Researcher, you will be part of the Physical Chemistry & Transversal Research department supporting product development and scientific discovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Pioneer new methodologies by designing and developing advanced protocols for characterizing complex fluids and multi-phasic systems.
• Conduct multi-scale rheological studies, including interfacial and bulk rheology, to understand flow behavior and viscoelastic properties.
• Utilize state-of-the-art tensiometers to measure static and dynamic surface and interfacial tension, gaining insights into surfactant kinetics and emulsification.
• Synthesize and interpret sophisticated physical chemistry data, translating findings into actionable insights for formulation teams.
• Collaborate across departments to solve technical challenges related to product application and durability, acting as a scientific bridge within the organization.

What's Needed?

• Recently completed PhD in Physical Chemistry, Colloid Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
• Deep knowledge in the characterization of complex fluids and understanding of microstructure-property relationships.
• Hands-on experience with tensiometry techniques such as Wilhelmy plate, Du Noüy ring, and pendant drop methods.
• Strong background in interfacial rheology, including oscillating drop/bubble and bicone methodologies.
• Understanding of surfactant science, self-assembly mechanisms, and stabilization dynamics in colloidal systems.
