QualificationsCertification or license as required by the WV Department of Education.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the assigned school or classroom(s).
- Teaches the lessons outlined and described in the Lesson Plans prepared by the absent teacher(s).
- Consults with the building Principal before initiating any teaching or procedures not specified in the Lesson Plans.
- At the end of each teaching day, prepares a written report for the regular classroom teacher(s) about the work completed.
- Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior throughout the school day.
- Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
- Reports to the building Principal at the conclusion of the teaching day, and verifies whether or not services will be required the next teaching day.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Principal.
Salary is based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
