EC--1 County Social Studies Fair Coordinator

Title: County Social Studies Fair Coordinator
Position Type:Professional Extra-Curricular
Number of Positions: 1
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent
Qualifications: Professional Teaching Certificate in the appropriate area of curriculum. Preference will be given to those employed in full-time positions. Substitutes may apply.
Compensation: $1,500.00
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Schedules dates for organizational meetings and events
- Arranges to contact other teachers involved
- Communicates with those involved
- Prepares press releases
- Prepares all advance work, i.e., music, test questions, project descriptions and labels
- Sees that all information regarding student participation is complete
- Determines and orders supplies needed
- Submits proposed budget
- Makes arrangements for facilities use
- Prepares and purchases awards and/or participation certificates
- Prepares programs for distribution to spectators
- Other duties assigned by Assistant Superintendent
- Coordinator duties will not conflict with regularly assigned school duties and responsibilities during school hours
** Applicants who have unsatisfactory evaluations, have been dismissed or had their contracts non-renewed for cause by another school district will not be considered eligible for consideration
