Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented C‑UAS Test Engineer to join our team. In this role you will design, conduct, analyze, and report on Counter‑Unmanned Aircraft Systems performance test and evaluation.
- Must have a minimum of a SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
- Design test plans to evaluate various C‑UAS technologies including radio frequency devices, electro‑optical/infrared cameras, user interfaces, networks, and software integrations.
- Support the development of front‑end and back‑end software.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment supporting traditional and Agile projects.
- Develop concepts to test and verify system specifications and provide a strong written narrative to support technical analysis.
- Draft test documentation for testing and evaluation.
- Conduct general test support including test set‑up and tear‑down.
- Safely fly or operate small drones.
- Execute tests on a wide range of technologies at multiple locations across the U.S.
- Support the development of key metrics for the program's solution development team.
- Responsible for target placement, configuration, and target operator instructions and guidance.
- Brief executive leaders on findings and recommendations.
- Write and provide test reports to multiple levels of leadership throughout the government.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security, mathematics/statistics, or engineering with 2‑4 years of experience, or 4+ years of experience conducting data analytics on a daily basis.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, and Linux.
- Experience with test design and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of test methods and methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems within a cross‑functional team.
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical and program related information to multiple stakeholders and adhere to established communication plans.
- Can manage multiple tasks with competing priorities in dynamic, politically sensitive environments ensuring customer expectations are managed.
- Basic mechanical understanding; experience working with tools.
- Experience with radio frequency transmission, detection, and deterrence equipment and techniques.
- Experience with UAS operation & capabilities; command, control, and guidance systems.
- Experience testing Counter‑Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
- Daily interface with customers at numerous levels; high degree of tact and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience flying both rotary and fixed‑wing Group 1‑2 UAS.
A secret clearance is not required to apply; however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, prior to the start date.
